ABOUT SHAZIA
Im a professional childcare provider and own my own home child care center as well as an on-child care sitter service company providing service for various kinds of events. However, i have always been interested in radio, tv and community work. I have been involved in organizations such as Pakistan Society of North Texas since 1992 and Urdu Ghar Dallas since 2016. Radio has always been my hobby and i love to be involved in community entertainment.
Shazia Khan did inherit the Radio , TV and social media of her dad, Shazia khan is daughter of famous TV and movie star well known Journalist Late Ghulam Rasool Naqeeb. He worked in serval movies and TV plays as an leading actor, also worked with all the political leaders of his age as a senior Journalist. Shazia Khan is carrying forward his legacy through by serving community through Art and Media.
MY PAST EXPERIENCE
Recently i was working as a RJ in the show “Suron Ka Safar” which focused on old songs and classic favorites. Then started “Sham-e-Ghazal” in 2016, with live music performances in the FM Studio. Followed by “Meri Pehchaan Pakistan”, a community-based show for Pakistan society of North Texas.
I also had joined Eastern Voice as a RJ from 2000 to 2002. Where i conducted interviews of singers and music directors.
Before that i worked at PakRadio as RJ from 1998 to 2000 highlighting Pakistan’s famous music directors, composers, poets and singers.
In 1998, also started. “Ashar Ke Ayeene Mein”, which broadcasted live poetry with participation from the community.
I had also done a show called “Tashnagi”, based on live interviews of personalities such as Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Imran Khan, ghazal singer Habibb Wali Mohammad, Abrar-ul-Haq and many others at Asian Television of North Texas as a Host from 1991 to 1994.
In the beginning of my journey i used to be an RJ in Radio Pakistan from 1984 to 187. Where i did a segment called “Bachchon Ki Duniya”, reading children’s stories with the famous ghazal singer, Munni Begum.
